Guiltless Vegan Blondie
It's been said that Blondes have more fun...
I decided to test out this theory, instead of baking my usual Black Bean Brownie treat, opted for the opposite...that's right, you guessed it.. a blondie!
In this recipe, I used chick peas (also known as garbanzo beans or channa if you're from the Caribbean like me).
Chick peas are a great source of vitamins, minerals and fiber, high in protein, and a great substitute for meat for vegetarian and vegan diets.
Chick peas are also known to aid in improving digestion, weight management and reducing risk of several diseases.
Their nutty taste and grainy texture pairs well with other food and ingredients. I can vouch for that after scarfing down this Blondie! Yummy!!
